Terms of Service

Public Draft In Progress Feedback welcome

Last updated: January 29, 2026

Your Links. Your Data. Your Linkname.

Linkname is a privacy-first, sufficiently decentralized link-in-bio application built on the AT Protocol. Unlike traditional link-in-bio services, we believe you should own your data, control your identity, and have the freedom to take your content anywhere. These Terms of Service explain how our relationship works.

1. Welcome to Linkname

These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we reference (collectively, the "Terms"), govern your use of Linkname (https://linkna.me/), including our website, applications, and related services (the "Service").

When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean ATTPS Labs Limited, the operator of Linkname. When we say "you" or "your," we mean you, the person or entity using our Service.

By using Linkname, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our Service.

2. The AT Protocol: What Makes Us Different

Linkname is built on the AT Protocol (Authenticated Transfer Protocol), the same decentralized technology that powers Bluesky. This isn't just a technical detail—it fundamentally changes how your data works:

  • You Own Your Identity: Your handle (like @you.bsky.social or your own domain like @yourwebsite.com) is portable. You can take it with you if you ever leave.
  • You Own Your Data: Your links, profile information, and content are stored in your Personal Data Server (PDS), not locked in any proprietary database.
  • You Control Access: You decide what data to share, with whom, and can revoke access at any time.
  • True Portability: If you want to move to another AT Protocol-compatible service or self-host, your data comes with you—no export fees, no artificial barriers.

We believe these principles are fundamental rights, not premium features. They apply to all users, regardless of their plan.

3. Your Account

Creating an Account

To use Linkname, you need to create an account. You can do this by:

  • Creating a new AT Protocol identity through bsky.app
  • Connecting an existing AT Protocol identity
  • Using your own domain as your identity

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years old to use Linkname (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you're under 18, you need parental or guardian consent.

Account Security

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your AT Protocol private keys if you manage them directly. We strongly recommend:

  • Using a strong, unique password
  • Enabling two-factor authentication when available
  • Safely backing up your recovery keys

Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time through your account settings. When you delete your account:

  • Your Linkname profile will be removed from our service
  • Your AT Protocol identity remains yours—you can continue using it elsewhere

We may suspend accounts that violate our Terms, with notice when possible and appropriate under the circumstances.

4. Your Handle

Your handle is your identity on Linkname and across the AT Protocol network. We recommend to get started by creating your handle through Bluesky (https://bsky.app/). You can choose:

  • Your username: @you.bsky.social
  • Your own domain: @yourdomain.com, which you can setup in the Bluesky App settings under Settings > Account > Handle > I have my own domain.

Your handle must not:

  • Impersonate another person, brand, or organization
  • Infringe on trademarks or intellectual property rights
  • Contain offensive, vulgar, or misleading terms
  • Be registered solely to prevent others from using it ("squatting")

5. Plans and Pricing

Free Plan

Linkname offers a free tier that includes core functionality and full data ownership rights. We believe privacy and data portability shouldn't be paywalled.

Paid Plans

We offer paid plans with additional features such as privacy-first cookie-less analytics, priority support, and more. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

Billing: You'll be billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). You acknowledge and authorize us to automatically charge your payment method for the amount of the plans tier and duration (Month/Annual) as well as provide us with authorization to automatically renew your subscription unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Taxes: Prices include applicable VAT where required.

Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your account settings. Your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then your account will revert to the free plan.

Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After that, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Price Changes: If we update our prices, your subscription will be cancelled and continue until the end of its duration. This allows you to resubscribe at the new rate without being charged a different amount without your knowledge.

6. Your Content

What's Your Content?

"Your Content" includes everything you add to your Linkname: links, text, images, descriptions, and any other materials you upload or create.

You Own Your Content

You retain full ownership of Your Content. We don't claim any intellectual property rights over the materials you create or upload.

License to Operate

To provide the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and distribute Your Content through Linkname. This license is:

  • Non-exclusive: You can share Your Content anywhere else
  • Royalty-free: We don't charge you (or pay you) for this license
  • Limited: Only for operating and improving the Service
  • Terminable: When you delete Your Content or your account, we stop using it (except for cached or archived copies that may take time to clear, or as required by law).

What We Don't Do

Unlike some platforms, we don't:

  • Sell Your Content or use it for advertising profiles
  • Train AI models on Your Content without explicit consent
  • Claim rights to use Your Content in our marketing without permission
  • Create derivative works from Your Content

Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the rights to share Your Content
  • Your Content doesn't violate anyone else's rights
  • Your Content is accurate and not misleading
  • Your Content complies with applicable laws

7. Privacy and Data Control

Privacy isn't just a feature—it's foundational to how we built Linkname. Our full Privacy Policy is available at linkna.me/privacy, but here are the key principles:

Minimal Data Collection

We collect only what's necessary to provide the Service. We don't track you across the web, build advertising profiles, or sell your data.

When you create an account, we store your email address for account identification and communication purposes.

Your Data, Your Control

Through the AT Protocol architecture, you have granular control over your data. You can:

  • See exactly what data is stored in your PDS
  • Export your complete data at any time
  • Delete specific data or your entire account
  • Migrate to another PDS provider or self-host

Analytics

If you use our analytics features, we collect aggregate, privacy-respecting metrics about visits to your profile. We use privacy-preserving techniques and don't:

  • Use cookies for tracking
  • Collect personally identifiable information about your visitors
  • Share visitor data with third parties

8. Data Portability

Data portability is a core right, not a premium feature.

Export

You can export all your data at any time in standard, open formats. This includes your profile information, links, settings, and any analytics history.

Migration

Because Linkname is built on the AT Protocol, you can migrate your entire identity and data to another compatible service or your own self-hosted PDS. Your handle, content, and connections can move with you.

No Lock-In

We don't impose artificial barriers to leaving. There are no export fees, no data held hostage, and no degraded experience for users who want to move elsewhere. We'd rather earn your continued use than trap you.

9. Acceptable Use

To keep Linkname safe and useful for everyone, you agree not to use the Service to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Facilitate illegal transactions or activities
  • Distribute illegal content

Harmful Content

  • Share content that promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm
  • Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM)—we report this to authorities
  • Post content that harasses, threatens, or bullies others
  • Share malware, phishing links, or deceptive content

Platform Abuse

  • Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
  • Use malicious bots or automation to artificially inflate metrics
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Interfere with the Service's operation or security

Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. For serious violations, we may act immediately. For less clear-cut cases, we'll try to give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

10. Third-Party Services

Your Linkname profile may link to third-party websites, services, or content. You may also connect third-party services to your account (like social media platforms).

We don't control these third-party services and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. When you interact with third parties through Linkname, their terms and privacy policies apply to those interactions.

Connecting a third-party service to Linkname may require you to authorize data sharing. We'll clearly explain what access is requested, and you can revoke access at any time through your account settings.

11. Intellectual Property

DMCA and Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content on Linkname infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to hello@attpslabs.com with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We'll respond to valid DMCA notices and may terminate accounts of infringers.

Open source & other licenses

12. Disclaimers

We provide Linkname "as is" and "as available." While we work hard to keep the Service reliable and secure, we can't guarantee it will always be perfect. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We're not responsible for content posted by users or third parties
  • We don't guarantee any particular results from using the Service

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We're not liable for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Our total liability for any claims under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €100, whichever is greater

These limitations apply even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Linkname, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

Material Changes: We'll notify you at least 30 days before they take effect, via email or prominent notice on the Service.

Minor Changes: We'll post the updated Terms with a new effective date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree with changes, you can export your data and close your account before the changes take effect.

16. Changes to the Service

We're constantly improving Linkname and may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service. We'll provide reasonable notice when possible, especially for changes that significantly affect your use of the Service.

Because your data is portable under the AT Protocol, service changes don't lock you in—you can always take your data elsewhere.

17. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at hello@attpslabs.com. We'll try to resolve the issue amicably within 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Venue of Jurisdiction

The exclusive competence to decide on any controversy resulting from or connected to these Terms lies with the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus.

Exception for Consumers in the European Union

The above does not apply to users who qualify as EU consumers. EU consumers may bring legal proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

Online Dispute Resolution for EU Consumers

The European Commission provides an online platform for alternative dispute resolution. EU consumers can use this platform for resolving disputes stemming from online services. The platform is available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

18. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Linkname regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You can't transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We can transfer our rights to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure

We're not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

19. Open Source

Our Service incorporates various open source software components, each governed by their respective licenses. These may include permissive licenses (such as MIT, Apache 2.0, and BSD) as well as copyleft licenses (such as GPL and LGPL).

21. A Few Last Things

Before we wrap up, here are some final important points:

We're Building Something Different

Linkname exists because we believe the internet can be better. Traditional link-in-bio services treat your data as their asset. We think that's backwards. Your links, your audience, your identity—they belong to you. The AT Protocol makes this technically possible, and these Terms make it legally clear.

Laws May Vary

Depending on where you live, local laws may provide you with additional rights or protections that these Terms can't override. Where local law conflicts with these Terms, local law wins. We've tried to write these Terms to respect user rights globally, but we recognize that legal frameworks differ across jurisdictions.

We're Human Too

Behind Linkname is a team of real people who care about building ethical technology. If something in these Terms doesn't make sense, or if you think we could do better, please tell us. We read every piece of feedback and genuinely want to get this right.

This Isn't the End

These Terms will evolve as Linkname grows and as the AT Protocol ecosystem matures. We'll always give you notice of material changes and the opportunity to take your data elsewhere if you disagree.

Thank You

Thank you for choosing Linkname. Thank you for believing that the internet can be more open, more private, and more respectful of the people who use it. We're honored to be part of your online presence, and we don't take that trust lightly.

Your Links. Your Data. Your Linkname.
