Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs how we process information when you access Linkname ("Services"). This is a binding agreement between ATTPS Labs Limited ("ATTPS", "we", "our", or "us") and you ("you" or "your"), and is incorporated into the Linkname Terms of Service.

Information you provide

Account information. Your Linkname data is stored on your own PDS (Personal Data Server).

When you use Linkname, we process for accessing free and community tiers:

  • Your DID - (Decentralized Identifier) from AT Protocol OAuth login.

Pro tier:

  • Payment processing data - TBA

When you and others visit your Linkname page we collect the following anonymous data on our servers:

  • Page views
  • Link clicks
  • Referrer domain
  • Country
  • Device type
  • Browser type

To count unique visitors without tracking individuals, we generate a daily hash from: IP address + User Agent + Daily salt + Page owner DID. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you and changes daily.

We use your information (that includes everything published publicly to your PDS) to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Display your Linkname page to visitors
  • Ensure only you can view your page analytics
  • Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms
  • Improve the Service

Information we do not collect

  • IP addresses - We process your IP address temporarily in memory to generate an anonymous hash for unique visitor counting, but we never store or log the IP address itself.
  • Cookies - We use a single session cookie (linkname_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use any cookies for analytics or tracking.
  • Full URLs - We only store the page path and referrer domain, never full URLs with query parameters or tracking tokens.
  • Cross-site tracking - We cannot and do not track you across different websites.

What gets written to your PDS

  • Links and text you add to your Linkname page
  • Profile customizations (Linkname profile picture and description)

Managing your information. You can manage your personal information in Linkname's application Settings. For example, you can update your profile picture and description or choose to delete your Linkname page.

Information we may share

Third Parties. We work with third parties to provide some of our Services. These providers are bound by their privacy policies to safeguard your information. If you use other third-party services like Bluesky, Cloudflare, Goodreads, etc. in connection with our Services, their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services.

Other instances where Linkname may need to share your data

  • To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • To enforce applicable Terms, including investigation of potential violations.
  • To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
  • To protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Linkname, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

Data retention

  • Account data - Retained until you delete your account
  • Analytics data - Aggregated and retained for 12 months

Updates

We will update this privacy policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy.
